Last week, our team sat down with Mary Heysek (President/CEO) and Angelica Lombrana (COO) at the United Food Bank of Plant City to listen, learn, and plan for the season ahead. The holidays are filled with many blessings, but it is also a time of year that can be a pressure point for families across our community. Mary and Angelica were clear: As SNAP benefits have been temporarily halted, an already busy holiday season is leading to an uptick in families who need to be served. The United Food Bank of Plant City is looking to feed an additional 1,500 families this November alone.

A heartfelt thanks to Mary, Angelica, and the entire United Food Bank team for the tour, the candor, and the daily work. And thank you—our customers, partners, and neighbors—for helping us make this holiday season brighter.
