Citrus Nutrition Programs for Florida Growers

Chemical Dynamics has built foliar nutrition programs for Florida citrus groves since Dyna-Gro Citrite 779 launched in 1979. Our citrus programs combine chelated micronutrients, seaweed-based biostimulants, and fast-acting nitrate carriers to support grove health through bloom, fruit set, and maturation — including programs designed around the nutritional demands of HLB-affected trees.

Products for Citrus Programs

Three product lines, each suited to a different application goal and timing window.

  • SOAR logo

    SOAR Citrus Mix

Chelated micronutrient blend with Ascophyllum nodosum seaweed extract and humic and fulvic acids. Formulated specifically for citrus — the chelation chemistry keeps nutrients available in Florida's high-pH, sandy soils. The biological components support assimilation and translocation through the flush period. Use as the foundation of a season-long foliar program.

    Guaranteed Analysis: 3.0% Mn · 1.0% Zn · 0.5% B · 0.25% Cu · 0.10% Mo · 2.0% Fe

  • Dyna-Gro logo

    Dyna-Gro Citrite 779 (Florida Only)

Nitrate-based foliar micronutrient blend for Florida citrus. Nitrate carriers move into the plant within hours of application — faster than chelate-based products — which makes this the right choice when you are correcting a visible deficiency quickly or responding to tissue sample results mid-season. Florida registration only.

  • Dyna Gold logo

    Dyna Gold Chelated Micronutrients

Sodium glucoheptonate chelates for individual micronutrient correction. When tissue samples show a specific deficiency — iron chlorosis, zinc, manganese, copper — Dyna Gold single-element products let you address it precisely without adjusting the rest of your program. Available across our full service area.

Guaranteed Analysis: Varies by product — single element chelates available

What a Citrus Program Looks Like With Us

  1. 1

    Tissue and soil sampling

Your rep collects leaf and soil samples at the right growth stage and forwards them to the lab. When results come back, they go through them with you — what the analysis shows, what the grove needs, and where your current program has gaps.

  2. 2

Program timing around your flush schedule

Citrus nutrition is about timing as much as product selection. Your rep builds the application calendar around your grove's specific flush timing — pre-bloom, post-fruit set, summer, and fall — and recommends the right product for each application window based on what the trees need at that stage.

  3. 3

Products from our Plant City facility

Every product we recommend comes out of our own facility. Guaranteed analysis. 72-hour manufacturing lead time, 48-hour delivery. If something needs to change mid-season, we can respond.

Questions About Citrus Nutrition

What foliar fertilizers work best on HLB-affected citrus trees?

HLB-affected trees benefit from foliar nutrition applied three times per year following each new flush — pre-bloom, summer, and fall. SOAR Citrus Mix delivers chelated micronutrients with Ascophyllum nodosum seaweed and humic and fulvic acids to support nutrient uptake in compromised trees. Dyna-Gro Citrite 779 (Florida only) provides fast nitrate-based micronutrient delivery when speed matters. Your Chemical Dynamics rep can build a timing program around your grove's specific flush schedule.

What is the difference between SOAR Citrus Mix and Dyna-Gro for citrus?

SOAR Citrus Mix uses chelated micronutrients combined with seaweed extract and humic and fulvic acids — the chelation keeps nutrients available in high-pH soils and the biological components support uptake and translocation. Dyna-Gro Citrite 779 uses a nitrate carrier, which means uptake happens within hours rather than days. When you need a fast response to a visible deficiency, Dyna-Gro moves quicker. For a program-based approach through the season, SOAR is the foundation.

Do you have programs for the Peace River Valley and Indian River districts?

Yes. Our reps cover the primary Florida citrus-growing regions including the Peace River Valley, Indian River, and Highlands County. They understand the soil types, the HLB pressure, and the regulatory environment specific to each district. Contact us to connect with the rep in your area.

Is Dyna-Gro available for use outside Florida?

No. Dyna-Gro products including Citrite 779 are registered for use in Florida only. For citrus programs in other states, SOAR Citrus Mix and Dyna Gold chelated micronutrients are available across our full service area.
